We are a membership based organisation - and we are only as strong as the people who support us so please consider becoming a member and help us to fight discrimination.

The Race & Equality Centre is membership based organisation, which accepts membership from both individuals and organisations who support our aims and objectives. Members have a vote at our AGM and are invited to our general council meetings.

We need members to be involved to show support for the work we do and to influence the organisation and how it operates. We are only as strong as our members.

There is no fee for individuals or community groups and once you’ve joined that’s it you are a member for life. Please join us and support the fight against racism and inequality!

Our Executive Committee is elected from our membership base. They have legal responsibility for the organisation and overall strategic direction comes from them. All committee members are appointed as trustees to the charity and directors for the purposes of company law. They are elected for 3 years at a time. There are often casual vacancies on the Committee so if you are interested please contact us. The Committee meets on the last Thursday of every month at 6.30pm in the evening at The Unity Centre. You can see the latest list of committee members here.
