THE PROBLEM

The client contacted us by telephone because she was having problems in her workplace, being one of very few women working in her sector. She complained of a campaign of sustained sexual harassment, which the employer had failed to deal with despite her numerous complaints. She was made to feel that her complaints were trivial and she was being awkward. Her Union were not supportive and she felt she had no-where to turn.

WHAT WE DID 

We advised her that she had a case for sexual harassment under the Equality Act and submitted an application on her behalf to the Employment Tribunal. We supported her with her case through to the Tribunal itself and secured representation from a well respected chambers to fight her case.

THE RESULTS

We were successful with the claim securing over £55,000 in damages from the Respondent for unfair dismissal and sexual harassment.
