HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT FUND
UPDATE APRIL 2023 - WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY TAKING NEW APPLICATIONS FOR THE HSF AS FUNDING HAS NOW RUN OUT.
Cheshire, Halton & Warrington Race & Equality Centre (CHAWREC) is supporting Cheshire West and Chester Council to distribute the Government’s Household Support Fund and the Council’s Winter Poverty Fund by providing essential support to the area’s most vulnerable residents. This funding is eligible for residents of West Cheshire and Chester.
Household Support Fund round 3 is now open until 31st March 2023 or until funds run out.
The funding via CHAWREC is to support Black and Minority Ethnic residents, including refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants with the increased cost of living, especially with energy. We are providing individuals with vouchers for stores such as Asda and Aldi to purchase essential items and take some of the financial pressure off. These can be awarded to families with children, pensioners, couples, and vulnerable individuals.
Individuals and organisations can make a referral for consideration under the Household Support Fund by completing one of the below enquiry forms. Please note that you will need to provide supporting evidence of need such as proof of benefits. This is a discretionary fund, not an entitlement – priority will be given to those who have not previously claimed from the fund. We also reserve the right to refer you to an alternative agency under the scheme.
